We Are Called To Grow and Sent To Serve
Trinity’s mission, “Believing in Christ, we are called to grow and sent to serve,” is lived through local and global service projects that run the gamut from creating health kits and quilts for world relief programs to a weeklong day camp, Strong Girls 2 Women, and a Pajama Project that provides free pajamas to area kids at Christmas.

Our Ministries
Strong Girls 2 Women
Launched in 2017, SG2W is a weeklong day camp designed to empower strong girls in grades four through six to envision their potential while forming relationships and exploring their creativity. Using dynamic women role models who speak on their professions, as well as constructive games, art, and physical activities, SG2W reminds our campers every day, “I Am Enough!”
This camp happens every summer.
Pajama Project
One of our largest annual ministries provides pajamas or hoodies for local infants through 18-year-olds at Christmas. Each child’s information is noted anonymously on a gift tag. Take a gift tag from the tree and shop, wrap, and attach the tag to your gift. Put it under the tree, and Santa’s elves will deliver the packages in time for Christmas.
Vacation Bible School
Trinity works with other community churches to offer a Vacation Bible School open to all kids. Hosted at Trinity every summer, the format and theme may vary, but you will always find kindergarteners through sixth-graders learning about God’s love and simple Bible stories through fun crafts, music and movement, service to others, engaging lessons, and lively activities inside and out on our lawn.
Education
Monthly Bible Study
Each month the whole congregation is encouraged to read a book of the Bible together using a daily schedule provided by the church office. During the learning season September to May, Pastor Josh leads a discussion-based Bible study centered on the book being read for the month.
Adult Learning Sessions
Growing in our faith at every age is a vital part of our relationship with Christ. Throughout the year, adults are encouraged to participate in learning opportunities around a wide variety of topics. Guest speakers are often invited to lead discussions and answer questions about their work in the world.
Youth Confirmation
When kids reach ages 12-14, they participate in Confirmation, a regularly scheduled, two-year ministry that explores faith and life through their unique perspectives in an affirming environment. They learn how to navigate the Bible, fundamental concepts of belief in Christ, as well as leadership skills and how to claim their faith in their own words. Questions are highly encouraged. We provide all of the resources and set the schedule with families in mind.
More Ministries
Community Block Party
To kick off a new Sunday School year each fall, Trinity throws a block party for the community! Themes vary, but for a few hours that Sunday in September our lawn is filled with food, fun activities, and games for young and young-at-heart. You may even find musicians, firemen with fire trucks, and a petting zoo. It’s completely free and open to everyone. It’s our way of showing that Trinity is a welcoming congregation, and grateful to be in this neighborhood.
TWELCA
Trinity is a congregation of the ELCA, Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. TWELCA is simply Trinity women (of the ELCA), bound by faith, who learn together and promote healing and wholeness in the church and the world through a variety of service projects. Service projects range from collecting school supplies for local kids to sending notes of encouragement to making beautiful quilts for Lutheran World Relief, which distributes them to needy families worldwide. All women are welcome. There is a monthly meeting for fellowship, learning, and prayer.
Trinity Nights
On the first Wednesday of each month, fall through spring, everyone in the congregation is invited to come together at church for a shared meal, brief devotion, and to help complete a service project. All ages are welcome for free food, fun, and fellowship.
Chime Choir
Dr. Matt Guschl directs a dedicated chime choir that performs once a month for the Sunday morning service and on special occasions. You don’t need to be a musician to join. Anyone who can count is invited to join the chime choir.
